An Everyday King
From Series: "Behold Your King"
Christmas. 2019. This is the last celebration of the birth of Jesus in this second decade of the millennium. This year our goal is simple. We want to make it all about Jesus, the King. We want to…Behold Your King. We will take this season and gaze at the Savior above all else. Up close. Personal. And as we look at Him, we hope to also see what He is doing around us. In our neighborhood. In our world. The King born in Bethlehem to the descendants of Ruth and Boaz has come to change us and our neighborhood and the world. We want to join Him in that work He continues to do. It will begin as we see the baby as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. The story of redemption takes a striking turn right there. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.” Luke 2:10 And then, when Jesus enters Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, He fulfilled the ancient prophecy in Zechariah, “Say to Daughter Zion, ‘See, your king comes to you….’” Matthew 21:5 What does that mean for us a church? Living in a neighborhood? And impacting a very big world? Join us as we discover what it means to…Behold Your King. Will you join us on this special Christmas journey?
