Paul and his wife Mary Jeanne are retirees living in Torrance who first worshipped at PCC in 1974, when they moved to California after graduate study. They have one daughter, Gail, who is a speech pathologist at a school in Orange County. Paul enjoys hiking, bicycling, baking bread, theater, and studying the Bible.
Paul has ministered God’s grace for over forty years. After graduating from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, he served among university students for five years in the Los Angeles area as a staff member with Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship. In response to God’s call Paul and Mary Jeanne moved to Taiwan to serve as missionaries with OMF International in 1980. After going through the pains of Mandarin language study, at various time periods in his missions career he served among students and young adults, held the responsibility of mission leadership for the Taiwan team, helped edit a missions magazine, trained pastors and lay leaders in a Taiwan seminary, introduced the Biblically-based Sharpening Your Interpersonal Skills workshops to the missionary community and Taiwan church, and served as the Taiwan finance manager for OMF International.
Paul loves the Bible and God’s people. He hopes that PCC and its people would be a shining light for all that is good, true, right, and holy in Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection in the South Bay area.
